At about 7 pm Arrowhead Time on a quiet Thursday evening, Adam Schefter of ESPN announced that the Kansas City leaders reached a one-year agreement with Kelvin Benjamin, a large free receiver. Benjamin began his career with the Carolina Panthers but was sold to the Buffalo Bills last season. The Bills cut Benjamin early this week.
WR by Kelvin Benjamin of the former Bills is signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, by source. Another weapon for the stretch.

Speculation began when Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest thought to see Benjamin in the practice of the Chiefs structure on Thursday afternoon … We think we think we've seen Kelvin Benjamin leave the chief training complex.

Later it was confirmed that Derrick was right, using Schefter. So this report not confirmed arrived, saying that Benjamin stopped in Kansas City during his tour.

After the signature was official, again, via Schefter, there were quick reactions …
A low-risk agreement for bosses. Andy Reid will have the ability to quickly integrate the dimensions of Kelvin Benjamin into the offense by adding another red zone threat. https://t.co/KZtDhV2G4O

Quick Thoughts on #Chiefs Sign Kelvin Benjamin: Interesting Deal … You Feel low risk, high reward, but wondering why it is necessary. I do not even know if it's better than Chris Conley, taking into consideration the complexity of Andy Reid's crime. Both UFA at the end of the season.

… and jokes.
Old friend His Dirkness posted a statistic that is worth reflecting …
Kelvin Benjamin in the last 3 seasons: 47.3 yards in reception per game
Sammy Watkins in the last 3 seasons : 46.7 in the yard per game
– His Dirkness (@HisDirknesS) 7 December 2018 … and one last thought of the night by a fan of the Chiefs and a faithful AP reader:
Kelvin Benjamin will make many people eat their words ……. GODDAMNIT

As always happens in the NFL, time will tell.
