An Apex Legends fan took the time to whip down the time to kill (TTK) of every single weapon for season 6, from humble Mozambique to the deadly R-99.
For those still unsure which weapons to prioritize in Apex Legends Season 6, help is on the way. While everyone’s comfort with recoil control and RNG game hooking loot makes gun preference entirely subjective, it’s worth knowing how each weapon performs at entry level.
As such, a YouTuber named “Davengeful” blessed the best of King’s Canyon with crisp details of how each of the battle royale weapons perform in a standardized lab environment.
Standing within 1
For these tests, Davengeful used no hop-up accessories and just fired with perfect accuracy to get a base stat. This means there is no Selectfire Prowler data to use, just the gun’s typical burst behavior. However, the regular version of the SMG remains one of the most powerful guns in the game.
As no surprise to players who have fallen into a game of Apex Legends once again, Mozambique is a grotesque weapon. While his TTK at the head is decent (and faster than some of the other guns in the game), his body TTK is a whopping 4.504 seconds.
For context, it’s slightly longer than it would take to take down four enemies, hitting only body shots, with the R-99.
With TTK listed in seconds and no hop-ups included, here’s how the Season 6 weapon roster stacks. This is current as of October 16, 2020, so all data is subject to change with the release of new patches.
As it stands, the list proceeds downward from small arms, heavy guns, snipers, energy, shotguns and finally the highly advertised R-99 supply gift.
Apex Legends Season 6 Weapon TTKs

As you will notice, the R-99 completely deserves its rarity because it has the TTK with the fastest body in the game and one of the TTKs with the fastest headshots. Its longtime companion among revered light guns, the R-301, is also devastating, with the TTK having the fastest headshot in the entire game.
While sniper rifles might look underpowered from this table, it should be remembered that this is just basic raw data. Snipers are easier to hit with ranged shots, thanks to the sights and bullet speed, so players shouldn’t be put off by just the data found here.
However, they should be discouraged from using Mozambique. The numbers don’t lie with that.
