Amazon Moon, Spherical Echo Speakers, Fire TV, a Flying Ring Camera, and More – Each New Product Announced This Fall

Amazon surprised us at its Fall Devices and Services event with its new one Luna cloud gaming service, along with planned updates to its Echo, Fire TV and Ring product line. The event helps Amazon generate interest as we enter the holiday shopping season and, for the first time, Prime Day. (The annual sale is usually held in July, but this year should start on October 13th.) That means putting Alexa everywhere – in and out of homes – and tackling privacy concerns, which were big storylines in 201

9 for both Ring and Alexa. In today’s home existence, with millions of us squatting for a long time, the connected home concepts that Amazon has been developing for years have become more relevant than ever.

The company’s Echo and Fire TV products will be the first to earn sustainability badges, and it is working to reduce power consumption between devices with a new low-power mode and an Alexa-integrated power dashboard. Amazon has also committed to building solar and wind farms to generate power to meet the consumption of all of its devices.

Microsoft

The company has launched a cloud gaming service in addition to Amazon Web Services that runs on PC, Fire TV, and even iOS. There’s a Luna Plus games channel with a curated set of games, and Amazon is teaming up with publisher Ubisoft for day one availability of some of them.

It has a $ 50 custom controller that connects directly to the cloud rather than the local device.

This is the custom controller that connects directly to the cloud, which Amazon says reduces roundtrip latency from 17 milliseconds to 30ms, compared to a controller connected via Bluetooth to a PC, Mac, or Fire TV.

Redesigned with a new spherical shape and able to adapt to room acoustics, the fourth generation Echo incorporates the features previously found in the Echo Plus. It is also a bridge for Amazon’s Sidewalk network and includes neural network technology to speed up Alexa.

It gets the same redesign as the spherical Echo, but now sports a sleek fabric cover and better speaker.

Also spherical, with some kid-friendly features, the Kids Edition includes voice profiles for kids and Sidekick, which allows Alexa to read them.

It now has Zigbee and Sidewalk hubs and is quiet when it rotates in your direction. For privacy, there’s a built-in camera shutter and all Echo devices will have a command to review privacy settings and “delete everything I’ve said”. It will also support Hulu, Netflix and Prime Video.

The Pro 6 is basically the same as the Eero 6, but designed to handle connections with higher bandwidth – up to gigabit, compared to 500 Mbps.

Ring Car Products: $ 60- $ 200

Ring’s $ 200 Ring Car Cam will help users document traffic stops, collisions and other road events.

Debuting with Tesla, the $ 200 Connect uses a vehicle’s built-in external cameras to capture video in case something happens to the car while driving or parked.

Finally, Ring’s $ 60 Car Alarm connects to your car’s in-vehicle diagnostic port and uses sound and accelerometer sensors to monitor the vehicle for bumps, break-ins, trailers or other events.

There are no product pages on Amazon yet, but we will add them here when they arrive.
