Amber notice issued for Virginia teenager



Virginia State Police activated an amber alert for a Stafford County teenager on Thursday.

Virginia State Police activated an amber alert for a Stafford County teenager on Thursday.

Selena Jah’nyrah Fernandez is believed to be in extreme danger.

She was last seen on Wednesday evening around 10pm. at 2142 Jefferson Davis Highway.

Police describe Jah’nyrah Fernandez as 17-year-old Hispanic, with black hair, brown eyes, 5 ft. 1, weighing 160 pounds. Last time she was seen wearing a white T-shirt and black pants. Her hair could be in braids, according to authorities.

Rodney Richards, black, black-haired, brown-eyed, 5 feet 10, weighing 230 pounds, has been named as the suspected kidnapper. Last time he was seen wearing a black hoodie, dark washed jeans and white sneakers.

Authorities say Richards threatened to “shoot” the company where the kidnapping took place. He was allegedly stopped in Stafford County in the past month with the gun ammunition in place.

They could travel south on a white Honda Accord.
