Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ big fall update 1.5 is out now, adding the Halloween event and other new fall-themed content to the game, but there are more coming this season. Nintendo has confirmed that another Animal Crossing update is slated for late November and it looks like it will add two more big seasonal events.
While Nintendo has not yet shared further details on the November update, the announcement was accompanied by images of Franklin the turkey and Jingle the reindeer. The former hosts the series’ Harvest Festival (Thanksgiving) event, while the latter appears during Toy Day (Christmas), so it looks like both holidays are coming as part of the November update.
Nintendo has not yet explained how the Harvest Festival or Toy Day events in New Horizons will work, but in the previous installment of the series, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Franklin would send you around to other villagers to collect the ingredients for the dishes he is preparing. Toy Day was even more engaging. Throughout the month of December, you should talk to the villagers and make a note of what they hope to receive on Toy Day. Then, on December 24, you should dress up as Santa Claus and deliver the right gifts to each villager.
Meanwhile, this week̵
On top of that, this week’s update also makes revisiting dreams a lot easier. Dream islands you have previously visited will appear as part of a list, so you never have to re-enter their dream address every time you want to return. Nintendo has also rolled out an update for the NookLink feature that allows you to use in-game reactions directly from the smartphone app.
In addition to the next update, Animal Crossing Amiibo cards will also return in November. Series 1 to 4 of the Amiibo cards will be available again from retailers. Each package will cost $ 6 USD and includes six cards. You can use these cards to invite villagers to live on your island or take pictures of them in the game’s Photopia mode. Animal Crossing’s long-sold-out edition Switch console is also starting to make a comeback in select stores.
