Anthony Michael Hall he got weird in a hotel pool and caused an uproar over disrespect, but the video only shows that he’s being belligerent and disrespectful … and now he’s apologizing.
The 1980s movie star was with his wife and assistant Wednesday afternoon at the South Congress Hotel pool in Austin, Texas, and brought with him a portable speaker and a pitcher of something … according to witnesses.
We were told that Hall was rude and hateful from the start – blasting his music, disturbing other guests and cursing in front of children, then asked to tone down.
Based on this video, Anthony did not respond politely to that request and started yelling at the pool of patrons … making it clear that he didn’t care what they thought of his behavior and accusing them of being wrong.
At one point he referred to a woman who recorded the incident as Rosie O’Donnell. Clearly agitated by his shooting, he started splashing water in his direction.
Our sources say hotel security was called during the altercation and Anthony ended up leaving the pool area. The police were not called.
Anthony is now issuing an important mea culpa, saying that he formally apologizes to the entire staff, his family and everyone who witnessed the incident.
Hall says … “Following a misunderstanding and poor communication between me and some hotel guests, the situation has increased unnecessarily and sadly.” And he adds: “I am deeply sorry for my words and actions and I ask forgiveness from anyone who may have offended”.
As you may remember … Hall he was facing prison in 2016 for allegedly assaulting one of his Los Angeles neighbors. He ended up not declaring any contest and got 3 years of probation instead.
