Apple Fire: over 7,000 people evacuated to Southern California

The fire started on Friday just before 5:00 p.m. PST, according to CNN affiliate KABC-TV. No injuries were reported.
A single-family house and two outbuildings were destroyed by fire, firefighters tweeted.

Evacuation centers have been set up at local hotels and at Beaumont High School, firefighter spokesman Rob Roseen told CNN.

All evacuation centers will apply Covid-19 protocols such as entry temperature screening, masks and social distance, said Roseen.

Starting on Saturday evening, the the fire burned about 12,000 acres and it is 0% low, according to the fire brigade. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
There is an increase in the plume’s growth potential with fires this weekend due to hot temperatures, very low humidity and land winds, according to the national meteorological service.
