Charlo brothers fight results, highlights: Jermell and Jermall Charlo succeeded in PPV’s first major events

A unique PPV event gave boxing fans exactly what they hoped for on Saturday night. Twins Charlo, Jermell and Jermall, delivered the goods in a PPV doubleheader with wins over Jeison Rosario and Sergiy Derevyanchenko, respectively.

In the first main event, Jermall Charlo showed why he is one of the best middleweight boxers on the planet by defeating Derevyanchenko for the unanimous decision to win the WBC title. The older brother of the twins looked sharp with his counters and striking with his defense as he dodged many of the heavy return shots from Derevyanchenko, who he has now lost in his three attempts to secure a 1

60-pound title.

Then, Jermell Charlo overtook Rosario for a bad finish in the eighth round to unify three of the four recognized titles at 154 pounds. Charlo was methodical in his approach and brushed off some of Rosario’s early pressures to bring down the Dominican Republic native twice before having him sit forever in the eighth round.

CBS Sports was with you at the unique pay-per-view event from Uncasville, Connecticut. Relive all of our coverage, highlights and results below.
