China claims the Mars probe is stable; no words about the reusable spacecraft

China’s military-backed space program has developed rapidly since becoming the third country after Russia and the United States to put a man into space in 2003. Last year, China’s Chang’e-4 became the first spacecraft from any country to land on the far side of the moon.

The program also suffered the occasional setback. The Jiuquan Northwest Satellite Launch Center reported that an optical satellite launched at noon Saturday failed to enter its preset orbit after anomalies were observed during the flight of its carrier rocket.
