Popular programs on CNN and MSNBC on Friday night completely ignored the outcome of President Trump’s foreign policy to broker a peace deal between Israel and Bahrain.
According to a formal statement issued by the United States and the two Middle Eastern countries, they have decided to “establish full diplomatic relations between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain”.
“This is a historic turning point in promoting peace in the Middle East. Opening dialogue and direct links between these two dynamic societies and advanced economies will continue the positive transformation of the Middle East and increase stability, security and prosperity in the region, “the statement said.
However, the major Middle East peace deal received no mention during prime time shows on CNN and MSNBC.
MSNBC, CNN FOR THE MAJORITY IGNORES MAJOR PEACE AGREEMENT BY TRUMP ISRAEL-UAE DURING PRIMETIME
While CNN devoted substantial coverage during its afternoon programming to the Israel-Bahrain deal, MSNBC spent less than two minutes covering major news throughout the day.
Both MSNBC and CNN similarly downplayed their coverage of the major deal Trump brokered between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last month.

“CNN Tonight” presenter Don Lemon, who regularly has two full hours each week, spent about two minutes on that deal but used it to mock Trump after National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien suggested that the president should be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
“I wonder why he wants a Nobel Prize so badly … Oh, you know who has one, right? President Barack Obama!” boasted the CNN host.
Lemon’s peers, Anderson Cooper and Chris Cuomo, avoided the subject altogether, as did their prime-time competitors on MSNBC.
