The Cobra Kai cast sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly for Comic-Con, during which each member took some time to reveal the shows they’ve always loved. When asked what they were “super fans”, Buchanan replied:
I’d probably say … I’ve seen someone walking around and they’ve had a Avatar: The Last Airbender pin. I’d probably say it’s the only TV show I’m really crazy about … I’ve heard maybe there will be a live action one coming out, so I’m really excited about that. And now I’m talking too much … getting too excited

Tanner Buchanan loved the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, which addressed mature themes and life-and-death situations while remaining a show for children. William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence) explained it Hold back your enthusiasm it’s one of his favorites and he really likes it Barry. Maccio intervened to note how “fantastic” Barry is.
Martin Kove (Kreese) loves The Outlander, explaining that he considers “all of us” time travelers.
