Dak Prescott clearly won’t let his horrific injury get him down … Cowboys QB posted a smiling update on Thursday – promising to come back stronger than ever.
“This little adversity will be just another chapter in the book,” said the Dallas superstar. “And I’m excited to go ahead and write it.”
Prescott was operated on Sunday night to repair a dislocated and fractured ankle … and it is expected that it will take at least 4 months before he can return to the football field.
But the 27-year-old, who was going to see his leg in the doctor’s office for the first time from his operation – said in his video update that he is “in a very good mood”.
“And I stay like that,” Dak added.
Prescott also thanked all of his fans, teammates and fellow NFL teammates for all the support he has received over the past few days.
Everyone from Patrick Mahomes for Alex Smith also Joe Theismann expressed their condolences for the QB … and Dak said she’ll never forget it.
“I can’t thank you enough for all your love, your support, your prayers over the last few days,” Dak said. “They were more than overwhelming.”
Prescott – who has never missed a game since taking on the role of Cowboys QB rookie in 2016 – said he is now excited to see the pitch from a different perspective this year.
“I am ready to begin this journey of return,” said Dak. “Then, God bless you all.”
