when Rick and Morty ended his fourth season finale, the fans were split. Everyone was thrilled with the great revelation of Space Beth. However, they were immediately struck by the terror of waiting Rick and Morty Season 5.
As viewers have accepted, the Adult Swim series is known for its tremendously long funeral between seasons – and now mid-season. But it will be the fifth installment of Rick and Morty to be released soon? Recently, co-creator Dan Harmon updated fans on upcoming episodes.

Rick and Morty fans waited two years for the fourth season. But when talking to Entertainment Weekly before the 2019 premiere, Harmon and co-creator Justin Roiland revealed that the long hiatus between the third and fourth seasons would be the last. The animated comedy was renewed for 70 episodes and the team started working early.
“We are entering the next batch. The plan has always been to get them out faster,” said Roiland.
Then Harmon added: “I think it’s safe to say without fear of making a mistake that the gap between seasons 3 and 4 will be the longest and the last time it’s so long that it’s ridiculous. I don’t know how fast we can do it. But I know that will never be so long. “
At the time, Harmon also confirmed that the team had already started writing Rick and Morty Season 5.
“We are literally writing season 5 as we finish season 4 just to force ourselves to engage in a certain program,” he said. “Not to hope for anyone, but it is structured in our agreement that if we are going fast and fast there are options to offer multiple episodes at a time.”

In May 2020, Chris Parnell, who voices Jerry, revealed Rick and Morty Season 5 has been written. He also suggested that there would be no delay when the cast started recording despite the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
“We haven’t started recording season 5,” he told IGN. “But I know they certainly have written episodes and that they have embarked to some extent. But I don’t know when we’ll start recording. “
He added: “I can actually record the correct sessions from home. You know, as long as the studio does some security protocols and things like that, it’s an easy situation to go into a booth and register and not having to meet anyone. “
So in July 2020, Harmon updated the status of Rick and Morty Season 5 during Adult Swim Con.

“I’m so excited about some of the stuff of season 5,” said Harmon. “We’re pretty much done writing it. The only exception is that I get these Zoom editing sessions where we’re at the point of finalizing the fifth season finale. But we have all these authors on the sixth season script.”
He continued, “It’s a crazy situation to find ourselves because this show has notoriously kept everyone late. The artists have always been waiting for the scripts. And now, finally, we are trying to change that game and always have something to draw as we progress. So now there we are “.
In the meantime, Adult Swim has left its first peek at the new season. The cool open promo introduced Rick’s nemesis, Mr. Nimbus. And although it is clear that the clip was unfinished, the teaser is proof that things are coming. So stay tuned. There is more to it.
