The Dolphins traded Ryan Tannehill for the Tennessee Titans, ending a seven-year marriage that leaves the team with extra ammunition but no clear starting quarterbacks.
The Dolphins are sending Tannehill and their sixth round pick in this draft year for the seventh round of the Titans this year and a choice for the fourth round in 2020.
This is a coup for Chris Grier. Collects a valuable resource in the 2020 draft for a player who will probably have to cut anyway.

Tannehill will return to Marcus Mariota in Tennessee, and given recent history, he can reasonably expect to play. Mariota has games in all four seasons of the NFL due to a series of injuries, including knee, hamstring, arm and shoulder.
Tannehill ends his Dolphins career having launched 123 touchdown passes and 75 interceptions with a 62.8 completion percentage and a passer rating of 87.
His career as a starter was 42-46 and never appeared in one playoff game.
Tannehill was a Miami survivor, earning two contracts that paid him $ 67.6 million over the past seven years and playing under three coaches and four offensive coordinators.
