Andrews and Bergeron were fired from their hosting jobs. Andrews shared a statement after the news was released.

“Thanks ABC and the whole dancing with the Stars family for six memorable seasons, ”read his statement. “Those years wouldn’t have been so special without my loving host Tom Bergeron, the talented dancers and the witty judges. I’ll always enjoy my days on that set, even if I haven’t been the best at walking in heels.”

This won’t be the only casting change this season. Len Goodman’s trip was limited due to the pandemic, so Derek Hough will take his place.

Hough has already competed as a professional partner on the show for 17 seasons. He won six times last in 2015 with Bindi Irwin.

I’ve been on the show for 17 seasons and there’s nothing they’re going through that I’ve never gone through before, so I understand.”
