Grissom died Tuesday after suffering “multiple blunt injuries” in a car accident, according to the Pierce County coroner … who ruled his death as an accident.
According to a friend and former colleague, the shipwreck occurred in the Chambers Bay area.
Grissom was one of 16 contestants on “Top Chef: Boston” in 2014, even though he wasn’t much of a fan favorite, and was eliminated fairly soon. While appearing on the show, he was actually a resident of L.A. and worked as a chef at Bow & Truss in North Hollywood.
Before that, he appeared on an episode of “Diners, Drive-In and Dives” when the show covered Dirty Oscar’s Annex in Tacoma … where Aaron made a name for himself.
According to reports, he had recently worked again as a chef at a restaurant in the Tacoma area and was also cooking for touring singers, including Billie Eilish, before the pandemic ended things.
