Ghost of Tsushima: Legends’ Classes
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will include four classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin and Assassin, each with their own play style and perks. When you start Legends, you will choose your starting class and the others can be unlocked as you play.
Each class will start with its own unique skill, and an alternate skill can be unlocked as you progress. Class-specific charms and ranged weapons can also be unlocked. Additionally, players can choose any combination of classes to play with friends, including each player taking the role of the same class.
The Samurai “can run straight into combat and stay there, sustaining his own health as he takes down enemies left and right.” They also have the final attack from Hachiman’s Fury which “slashes enemies in a barrage of blows.
The hunter “can stand on the brink of combat and hit enemies before they even see you.” Explosive arrows will also be available to slow down enemies, and the Eye of Uchitsune’s final attack will “shoot more arrows directly at your enemies’ heads”.
Ronin players “can revive their entire team with the ultimate ability of Izanami’s Breath.” Plus, and perhaps most importantly, they can summon a Dog Spirit and yes, you can ACCEPT GOOD PUPPIES.
The Assassin is meant for those who like to do massive damage with a single attack. They can use their final Shadow Strike ability which “will allow you to teleport across the battlefield and hit your enemies directly”. Finally, they can wear “terrifying masks” that are sure to scare all enemies.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Story Missions, Survival Missions and Raid
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends’ Story Missions are designed for two players and will tell the story of “what is really happening in Tsushima”. As you progress, you will unlock greater difficulties, face new encounters, tougher enemies, bonus objectives, and will be able to earn greater rewards.
Survival missions, on the other hand, support up to four players who must work together to fight off waves of enemies while defending different locations in Tsushima. Blessings can be activated, such as “set enemies on fire” or “summon a Spirit Bear”, and the longer you survive and the more complete bonus objectives, the more rewards can be earned. The Raid will require “all your skill, high-level equipment and a large team of 4 players to be able to survive in the kingdom of Iyo!” When released, the raid will be an epic three-part adventure that will require teamwork and communication to overcome.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will support photo mode as long as your teammates sign up, and this new mode is full of new cosmetics that are unlocked through the game without microtransactions. There will also be new trophies for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends that will not count towards the standard Ghost of Tsushima platinum trophy.
Ghost of Tsushima single player campaign updates
As previously mentioned, New Game + will be added with Update 1.1 and will start players in the open world, “shortly after Jin’s initial confrontation with the Khan”. All previously obtained techniques, equipment and vanity items will carry over and the difficulty will be increased to provide more challenge, but it can be adjusted in the menu if it reveals too much.
Players will also receive a new game + horse that features a “vibrant red mane and unique saddle”. New charms will also be available along with upgrades for Jin’s sword, bow and armor.
The Ghost Flower merchant will appear in Ariake in New Game + and will accept the newly added Ghost Flowers. These can be obtained by completing a story or activity and already having the reward, giving additional incentive to play again.
Ghost flowers can be exchanged for charms, new armor dyes, and other vanity items found only in New Game +.
