Heat vs Celtics score: Miami ends up comeback with extra time win against Boston in Game 1



The Miami Heat overwhelmed the Indiana Pacers, shocked the Milwaukee Bucks and, in the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals, broke into the Boston Celtics. Miami started the series on the wrong side of an 8-0 run and was followed by 13 points in the first quarter, appearing completely discombobulated in attack. In overtime, Kemba Walker hit a stepback jumper with 23.2 seconds left, but then Butler and Adebayo saved the day for Miami.

Butler finished with 20 points at a 7 for 14 shot, but the Heat’s top offensive player for much of the night was Goran Dragic, who had 29 points at an 11 for 19 shot. Miami beat Boston 35-35 in the final frame. and 11-8 in extra time.
Tatum scored 30 points on 10/24 shots and Marcus Smart added 26 points on 9/18 shots, but Kemba Walker shot 6/19 for his points. Miami tried to take Walker out of the way with a combination of a 2-3 zone, entrapment and substitution. This time it worked pretty well.
