Former “Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested Saturday in Oregon, accused of attempting to strangle his girlfriend, according to reports.
Police from Eugene, Oregon went to Bryan’s residence on Friday night following a neighbor’s report of a “physical dispute.” Bryan, 39, was found outside an apartment while his girlfriend, 27, was inside a nearby one, according to E News.
He was arrested in Lane County Jail and faces charges that include “strangulation, fourth degree assault and interference with the preparation of a report,” police said, according to OregonLive.com.

Bryan allegedly “attacked the victim, preventing her from breathing and [took] the victim’s phone from her when she tried to call 911, “police told E News.
Bryan played Brad Taylor, the eldest son of Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, the character played by Tim Allen in the popular sitcom, which ran from 1991 to 1999. Since then Bryan has acted intermittently, including a role in 2006 “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift”. He also works as a producer.
