After an epic 2019, everything was relatively quiet for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2020. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Phase 4 of the MCU – which was to start in May with Black Widow – has been largely moved to 2021. Meanwhile, MCU stars keep themselves busy in other ways. Take Vin Diesel’s musical career, for example.
Several MCU actors have released music over the years
Before we get to Diesel’s surprising foray into music, it’s noteworthy that the Fast & Furious star isn’t the only MCU actor to attempt this transition. After all, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson have all released full albums over the years. Even those who have not released albums have shown some musical talent.
Chris Hemsworth has released a memorable behind-the-scenes clip of himself playing Johnny Cash’s version of “Hurt” in 2019. Bradley Cooper earned an Oscar nomination for playing a rock star in A star was born. And recent Emmy winner Zendaya is as famous for her singing as she is for her acting. So Diesel is already in good company.

Now Vin Diesel has revealed his first dance-pop single, “Feel Like I Do”
The release of the actor in 2020, Fast and Furious 9, was among the first major films pushed into 2021. Meanwhile, Diesel turned his attention to music, releasing his first single on Kelly Clarkson’s show. The dance-pop track – titled “Feel Like I Do” – will be released on streaming platforms shortly thereafter.
“[Because I can’t be on a movie set right now,] I have another creative outlet, another way to show you or share my heart with you, “Diesel said on the show. He also thanked Kygo specifically for believing in his music, as Kygo’s record label releases” Feel Like I Do. “Diesel also took to Instagram to thank fans for their support as he” stepped forward[s] outside [his] comfort zone. “

Vin Diesel returns as the Groot for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Although phase 4 of the MCU has been temporarily delayed, Diesel is ready to return as Groot’s voice very soon. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn’t have a release date yet. But fans are expecting the film to release in 2023, perhaps as an early entry into Phase 5.
Writer and director James Gunn is currently working on the DC sequel / reboot The Suicide Squad. That film – the sequel to the similarly titled 2016 release Suicide Squad – will be released in theaters on August 6, 2021. Recital Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 could be Diesel’s last run, fans should savor the wait.
