Instant Pot makes a 2-in-1 coffee machine, The Instant Pod

Coffee is a life force for me. I’m not the kind of person who can’t function without a morning cup, but waking up every morning with a nice cup of coffee is a ritual I need in my life. While I’m a huge fan of plain black coffee, perhaps with a splash of milk, some mornings call for something different. An espresso or cappuccino is always nice every now and then. But for some time, I thought I would need several coffee machines in my house, one for regular coffee and one for espresso, and then I stumbled upon the latest creation from Instant Brands (the creator of Instant Pot): the Instant Pod.

The Instant Pod is special for a few reasons, but most of all it̵

7;s a 2-in-1 machine that can make both drip and espresso coffee. When you open the top to insert a K cup, you see that there is also a corresponding slot for a Nespresso Pod. Each hole is respectively compatible with virtually every K-Cup or Nespresso Pod out there, and in particular, the K-Cup slot also works with reusable K-Cups. From there, it’s just like any other Keurig machine – lower the lid, press a button at the top and the machine gets ready. The Instant Pod also features a 2-liter water tank, which is great because it means you need to refill water less often. It’s easy to clean and has an auto shut-off feature, so if you forget to shut it down quickly, it will do it automatically after thirty minutes. But the best part has to be its size. For a machine with such a large water tank and the ability to make two different types of coffee, I was expecting something much, much bigger. Instead, the Instant Pod is a sleek little coffee machine that’s actually several inches thinner than the classic Keurig.

Instant Brands also makes a matching cappuccinatore, which is a great addition to the Instant Pod. If you’re a K-Cup user who wants the best of both worlds, I don’t think there’s a better car out there.
