iRobot claims that the i3 + is capable of capturing 99% of pollen, mold, dust mites, and allergens from cats and dogs. Apparently it has 10 times the suction power of the Roomba 600 series and has the ability to understand where dirt is accumulating, so it can focus on those areas.
Like its predecessors, the Roomba i7 + and s9 +, the i3 + is equipped with a cleaning dock called the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal where the machine automatically empties the debris it collects and which doubles as a charging station. The clean base packs debris into a bag with four layers of allergen-blocking materials and is large enough to hold dirt and dust for months. It̵
The Roomba i3 + with a clean base will cost you $ 599, while the i3 without a base is priced at $ 399. Both models are now available in the US and Canada on the iRobot website and will go on sale at various retailers at the end of month. Roomba i3 + will also be available in other countries in the first quarter of 2021.
