White House Senior Adviser Jared Kushner celebrated Israel’s new agreement with the UAE and Bahrain on Tuesday after a White House signing ceremony, telling Fox News that President Trump’s brokered deals “make you realize that everything it is possible if we have the courage, vision and determination to try to move forward “.
“You see this agreement which, once again, is truly a watershed and just for me personally it was an honor to be a part of it and a very exciting day here in the White House watching, you know, something happen that no one thought would be possible,”
Trump on Tuesday was joined by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalif to sign the Abraham Agreements, something that the president hailed it as “the dawn of a new Middle East”.

Kushner said the deal is the result of Trump’s unique approach to diplomacy in the region and pointed to the steps taken by the administration that have helped build confidence so far.
“We studied everything that had been tried and that had failed. Him [Trump] he said “let’s try it differently,” “recalled Kushner.
“Instead of trying to tackle the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and make it the panacea for everything, we took the steps that needed to be taken to show that there was real sincerity, but we have shown that the Palestinian leadership is not interested in making a deal. of peace at this time and we proved that Israel was.
“This, together with the efforts to bring everyone together, has allowed us to make these historical discoveries.”
Ultimately, Kushner said, Middle Eastern countries really want the same thing, which is a promising future.
“People in the Middle East are now seeing that they don’t want their future held back by the conflicts of the past,” he explained. “People want to pursue shared opportunities. They want to have better jobs. They want to do business together. They want to explore their countries and get to know each other, and President Trump has been able to take an unconventional approach to bringing people together.”

Kushner turned to his critics who wrongly predicted that Trump’s unconventional diplomatic approach would further contribute to instability in the region.
“These people said ‘if President Trump were elected, World War III would start.’ What we saw today [was] instead of World War III, it achieved the first breakthrough in Middle East peace in the past 26 years, ”Kushner said.
“Their way didn’t work. And so President Trump took a different way but got a different result by doing it in a much more productive way.”
Asked about the possibility of reaching a peace agreement with Iran, Kushner said: “All these leaders coming together to sign a peace agreement … make you understand that anything is possible.”

“So,” he continued, “the hope we have is that Iran will stop their opposition to progress … they should modernize their society. Give their citizens more rights and freedoms and help build a brighter future for the country. their generation … and we can help them do that. “
