Kunimitsu was revealed as the first new fighter for the Tekken 7 Season 4 Pass. This is a character not seen since Tekken Revolution, released in 2013.
If we exclude spin-offs, Kunimitsu is no longer playable since Tekken 2. In fact, it’s been more than 25 years since Kunimitsu appeared in a main Tekken title in 1
Since it’s been so long it’s not surprising to see Kunimitsu sporting a new look. Although she still wears her signature mask, she is also seen without it during the trailer.
Kunimitsu tends to be defined in the Tekken series by her speed and agility. However, this comes at the cost of his attacks’ low strength and range.
It should be noted that the Kunimitsu in Tekken 7 is actually the daughter of the original Kunimitsu that appeared in Tekken and Tekken 2. It seems that this new Kunimitsu is not blind, unlike her mother.
Tekken fans will also have access to the Vermillion Gates stage in Q4 2020 alongside Kunimitsu. The exact release dates are not yet available.
Later in the first quarter of 2021, Tekken 7 Season 4 Pass owners will also have access to another character and another level. These characters and levels will likely also be available individually without the Season 4 Pass.
Finally, Season 4 will implement new moves for all characters, “Tekken Prowess”, an updated user interface, a revamped ranking system and updates to online gameplay. These updates will be available to everyone and for free.
“Tekken Prowess” is essentially a measure of a player’s overall skill in Tekken 7. This value is not limited to a player’s skill with their main character.
