Madison police investigate armed robbery.

MADISON, WIS – Madison police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on a McDonald Sunday morning.

According to an accident report, the robbery occurred at McDonald’s on 2901 Dryden Drive at 2:13 am. Police said two employees were detained with a knife tip by a suspect who asked for money from the safe. The suspect punched an employee several times and made the victims lie on the ground before leaving with an unknown sum of money, according to the report.

Law enforcement officials said a K9 was used to search for the suspect and video evidence was collected from the restaurant.
