(Reuters) – Microsoft Corp said Monday at the end of a recent change it introduced likely caused a major outage, affecting users’ access to multiple Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook.com and Microsoft Teams.
The Windows and Office software developer said they did not “see an increase in successful connections”
“A moment ago nothing was working, then I went into the files in Teams and it worked, now nothing works. Well, I guess I have an excuse not to work and watch TV, “tweeted a Twitter user.
“We are pursuing mitigation measures for this issue. In parallel, we are redirecting traffic to alternative systems to provide additional relief to affected users,” Microsoft said on its status page, without specifying the number of affected users.
Several other Twitter users complained that the hiatus meant they could miss their job interviews and deadline for college assignments.
The Xbox maker also told bit.ly/339pRgI that they were working on evaluating other solutions while investigating the root cause of the outage.
