Microsoft 365 suffers a major outage



“We are investigating an issue involving access to more Microsoft (MSFT) 365 services. We are working to identify the full impact and will provide more information shortly, “the company said in a tweet at 5:44 PM ET.
The company indicated that affected services include Outlook.com, Office.com, Power Platform, Dynamics365, and Microsoft Teams, including Teams Live Event.

“Existing customer sessions are unaffected and any user logged into an existing session will be able to continue their sessions,”

According to Down Detector, a website that tracks internet outages, users have reported problems with logging in, connecting to the server, and Outlook. The downtime started around 5 p.m. ET for Office 365, according to the site.
Microsoft attributed the outage to a recent change to the platform at first, but after indicated it wasn’t “seeing an increase in successful connections after undoing a recent change. We are working to evaluate additional mitigation solutions as we investigate the root cause.”
The company She said it was “seeing improvements for more services after mitigation measures are applied” and that “will continue to monitor services to ensure full recovery.”
