Microsoft releases February Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 10 versions 1809 and 1803, here’s what’s new OnMSFT.com OnMSFT.com

Today is the second Tuesday of the month, when Microsoft releases new "Patch Tuesday" updates for all supported versions of Windows. For those of you who are already running Windows 10 version 1809, you will now see build 17763.316 (KB4487044) on Windows Update.

Here are all the fixes included in this cumulative update:

  • Resolves an issue that fails to set the LmCompatibilityLevel value correctly. LmCompatibilityLevel specifies the authentication mode and session security.
  • Resolves an issue that may prevent applications from opening using a Microsoft Jet database with the Microsoft Access 97 file format. This problem occurs if the database has column names greater than 32 characters. The database fails to open with error "Unrecognized database format"
  • Resolves an issue that causes Windows Client for Business Hybrid Key Trust to log in for error if domain controllers Windows 201
9 Server (DC) are used for authentication. The error is "this option is temporarily unavailable. For now, use a different method to log in". If Active Directory Activity Tracking (AD) is enabled, a Local Security Service (LSASS) LSASS (Local Security Authority) exception can occur in Windows 2019 DC during access processing. a user.
    • Note The Active Directory data collection and AATP (Advanced Threat Protection) group in Microsoft Azure enable Active Directory activity traceability by default.
  • Resolves an issue in Microsoft HoloLens that allows users to ignore the lock screen while accessing some workflows.
  • Security updates on Microsoft Scripting Engine, Microsoft Edge, Windows Server, Microsoft JET Database Engine, Internet Explorer, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Graphics, and Windows App Platform and Frameworks.

The release notes for this new build mention a single known problem that was already present in the previous build. This bug can cause some Web pages not to load into Microsoft Edge when using a local IP add-in and Microsoft says it is still working on a fix that will be released in an upcoming release.

If you are still using Windows 10 version 1803, you should now be able to download 17134.590 (KB4487017). This cumulative update has the same known problem with build 17763.316, but it comes with the following fixes:
