Number 10 Notre Dame beat Duke 27-13 on Saturday in the team season opener in a match that was not the most beautiful of victories for Fighting Irish, but was nonetheless the team’s first official match as a member. Unfortunately for Duke, he couldn’t get any ground movement, running only 75 yards as a team and averaging 2.4 yards per carry. The Blue Devils were also disappointed with two turnovers, including a fumble from Brice on the team’s last possession.
