For four days, players and coaches of the New England Patriots have been asked countless times why they fight against dolphins in Miami.
Nobody has a clear answer. But security Devin McCourty has summarized better.
"We just sucked," said McCourty.
The patriots have lost four of their last five games in Miami. They will try to make them four of their last six Sundays when they travel to Miami to catch the Dolphins.
Let's go into this week's collector.
JC Jackson. If he's as good as his teammates say, why was he landed? Maryland is not a small school. Is he the real deal (is it a deal)?
The reasons why JC Jackson drifted were not related to football. He was arrested and was eventually found guilty of armed robbery in 2015.
That's why he was fired from the University of Florida, played a season at Riverside Community College and eventually moved to the University of Maryland.
Without these legal problems, Jackson would certainly have been drafted. If his career had not been discouraged in Florida, it was not excluded that he would be enlisted as his former team-mate Gators, Duke Dawson, who was a 2018 pick-up with the Patriots.
Jackson has granted 35 outlets to 61 goals for 414 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions last season with the Terrapins, according to Pro Football Focus.
He did a 40-second dash with a 6.92-second 3-cone drill, so he's definitely athletic. He was nowhere to be considered a fourth to sixth pick from the NFL Draft Scout and NFL.com before going to the end without being drafted.
So, is he the real deal? His teammates certainly think so. Jason McCourty, Stephon Gilmore and Duron Harmon adore him. The patriotic trainer, Bill Belichick, had nothing but good things to say about him. He actually started in front of Gilmore during spring practices.
Personally I am high up with him. As long as he can continue to stay out of trouble, I think he could enter the next season as a starting cornerback for the patriots.
So, do you think that playing radar defense would be something from now on? I remember seeing many of these latest games, and it worked.

Celo refers to defensive glances when the Patriots only had one less soldier and then a group of linebackers and defensive hosts wandering around the scrimmage line to mask the covers against the Minnesota Vikings .
The patriots have shown that they often watch on Sunday. They will probably do it before the end of the season, but I would expect them to use it sporadically.
The Super Bowl this season would have been among the most impressive of the Patriots dynasty given their fluctuations and an extremely competitive AFC?
Probably the Super Bowl was probably more impressive in 2011. The Patriots' second place was so negative that Julian Edelman and Matthew Slater played defense this season. Only nine defenders of the patriots have played 20 or more shots this season: Devin McCourty, Jason McCourty, Gilmore, Harmon, Patrick Chung, Jonathan Jones, Jackson, Eric Rowe and Obi Melifonwu.
Fifteen defensive backs played 20 or more shots in 2011: Kyle Arrington, Devin McCourty, James Ihedigbo, Chung, Sergio Brown, Antwaun Molden, Sterling Moore, Nathan Jones, Leigh Bodden, Josh Barrett, Phillip Adams, Slater, Ras – The Dowling, Edelman and Ross Ventrone.
Annnnnd I just found myself in a rabbit hole to watch the safety of Slater in 2011. It was not bad!
#MailDoug why the Pats do not use Donte Hightower as an edge rusher? It is a need and is obviously slow in coverage.
I do not really think that Hightower was bad in this season's coverage. It seems a slower pace, but Hightower has never really covered the downfield. He is still good at running out of the apartment and stopping him for a quick stop. Hightower is best used a blitzer rather than a full-time board rusher. The shots of the Hightower passport have been published in recent weeks and his game has definitely improved with the progress of the season.
Weighing the patriotic history of reluctance to pay market value for the boarders against the fact that Trey Flowers is exactly what Belichick wants in a defender on board, do you think the Pats make him a # 39; really competitive offer to keep him in the city for the next season? #MailDoug
I think they will. This does not guarantee that they will block it, because another group could eventually overpay. But the Patriots have the cap room needed to sign Flowers, and they have no one in their current roster that can sufficiently increase its precious role. They know that Flowers is about to generate a significant interest in the open market, and I would expect them to offer them a competitive offer.
@DougKyed do you think that Obi's snaps will increase in the coming weeks? #maildoug
I would not be surprised if the Patriots started to rely on Obi Melifonwu more and more to cover the tight end. Patriots have struggled to cover tight end and running back sometime this season. If Melifonwu starts to cover more tight endings, then Patrick Chung could focus more on running backs.
Patriots seem to appreciate Melifonwu. He has already played more than I expected this season.
Let's make quick fire.
the patriots actually launch the ball in the first quarter of Sunday
– @ michaelis4real
This depends on the coverage of the Dolphins, but I would say yes.
Should patriots draft a TE in the draft?
– @ Neauxmad98
What do you want for Christmas? #maildoug
Maybe a warm pair of socks or something.
Who is the "Nate Eovaldi" of the Patriots? The guy who does something that actually has his teammates in awe.
– @ plarkin88
Honestly, teammates seem amazed by Jackson's ability to cover deep.
What happened at the time of tuberculosis? The biggest journalistic enterprise of this century. #MailDoug
This is a question for my friend, Charlotte Wilder.
Who is more inclined to leave before the next season, Gronk, Brady, Josh or Bill
Difficult. Or it would be Josh McDaniels or Rob Gronkowski. I will go on a limb and I will say Gronkowski.
Who is your favorite player to talk to in the locker room or current player
There are many good guys to talk to in the locker room. First come to mind is Duron Harmon, Julian Edelman, Ted Karras and Elandon Roberts. Among the former patriots, I always enjoyed talking with Logan Ryan.
Will we ever have a game that is "The Gordon Show" and if so – what game do you expect it to be? #maildoug
– @ jessgabe8
It could be this week if Xavien Howard does not play. Dolphins may be forced to use the rookie cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick on Gordon.
Need for larger drafts: TE or QB?
Excellent question. The tight end could be more immediate, but the quarterback is probably even bigger.
When they hid behind the wall and fired at the advancing soldiers, they "refilled" their muskets or was there a spare part already loaded?
I think they had to top up. I do not think there were enough muskets for spare parts for each soldier.
My daughter was born 1 month ago. When will I start to sleep again? Also his name is Olivia, the best name ever #MailDoug
– @ gcabreu87
My daughter is sleeping more than 10 hours a night, and I'm not sleeping enough yet. This could be a problem for me, anyway.
This left me perplexed for a while, but do you think there is a reason why Hollister remained on the active roster despite being injured for some games? Are they cleansed to be a reliable TE if Gronk is out? Friend is good on the field. I'm just wondering
– @ Zeekee21
It's nothing more complicated than the team likes. The patriotic trainer, Bill Belichick, mentioned it in the same sentence with Jackson and Malcolm Butler among the free agents not boarded last week.
Adam Vinatieri gets his # retired?
I doubt it. But it's a shoo-in for the Patriots Hall of Fame.
Phil Dorsett is about to have a career as Pats as Amendola, where he will emerge as the target of the clutch later after a bit of darkness? Or does the team have no long-term plans for him?
– @ Jamptroll
Dorsett is in the last year of his contract, so he should first sign again why this happens.
