Slack said on Monday that his service is experiencing performance issues, which could spell trouble for the many companies that rely on the workplace communication tool to keep remote teams up and running.
The company noted around 10am ET that some users may experience sluggishness with Slack’s desktop, mobile, and browser applications. He said the problem was causing delays on some messages and calls. About two hours later, Slack (WORK)

He later stated that some users may not be able to connect and that the search function was also affected. Just after 2 p.m. ET, the company added that it continues to “see improvements, but some users may still experience delays” and that it will continue to provide updates.
“Our teams are aware of and are investigating the matter,” a Slack spokesperson said in a statement to CNN Business. “We know how important it is for people to stay connected and are working hard to make everyone work as normal. For the latest updates, keep an eye on @slackstatus and status.slack.com.”
Slack declined to say how many users are affected. The Down Detector website listed up to 1,900 reports, including problems connecting and sending messages. Down Detector showed that most of Slack’s reports came from the United States.
