The 49ers will remain without cornerback Richard Sherman for a period.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that Sherman is will be placed Wednesday in reserve injured.
Sherman played 78 out of 82 shots in last Sunday’s defeat to the Cardinals and there was no sign of a medical problem during the match. Garafolo reports that it is a leg injury, but does not delve into the exact nature of the problem.
Sherman frightened the 49ers during a training camp when he appeared to have injured his leg during a drill. He stepped off the pitch for a brief exam before returning to the pitch.
Once on the list, Sherman will be sidelined for at least three weeks. That period covers street games against the Jets and Giants as well as a week four home game against the Eagles.
