Samsung confirms that One UI 3.0 Beta will soon be available for the Galaxy S20 series

Samsung had unveiled the One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 series two months ago. The developer beta of One UI 3.0 was released earlier this month and the UI design changes and all new features were also revealed. The company has now announced that it will soon release the public beta of One UI 3.0 for the Galaxy S20 series.

The beta operations community manager revealed through a post in the Samsung member community that the beta One UI 3.0 will soon be available for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra in South Korea. Interested users can sign up for the program via Samsung Members app. The official launch date and download link will be revealed via the app, so if you don’t already have the Samsung Members app, it’s time to install it and have your device ready.

At the moment, the release plan has only been unveiled for South Korea, but we believe the beta program will subsequently be open to users in other markets such as Germany, India and the US. Once the One UI 3.0 beta update for the Galaxy S20 series is released, Samsung may also release a similar program for the Galaxy Note 20 series in the future. Functionality of a UI 3.0

A UI 3.0 brings camera improvements, including better autofocus and stabilization, to the Galaxy S20 series. Other features include a trash function for messages, the ability to delete duplicate contacts, customization of the call screen. The improved Calendar and Reminders apps are also part of the package. Samsung also added weekly trends for digital wellness and separate profiles for work and personal profiles. Time spent on calls while driving and a lock screen widget are also available in One UI 3.0.

Long press of an app icon allows users to add an associated widget to the home screen. The screen can be locked by double tapping an empty area on the home screen. Android 11 features such as conversation sections in the notification area, chat bubbles and media playback widget are also present in One UI 3.0. A new version of Samsung Internet with several new add-ons and improvements to the Samsung keyboard and Wireless DeX are among other new features.
