State eases restrictions on private gatherings | news

The state released a new guide on Friday that allows private reunions of up to three families. The new guide will take effect Saturday in San Diego County.

The meetings must take place outdoors. If at someone’s home, guests can come in to use a bathroom.

Any interaction with others increases the risk of transmitting COVID-19. The smaller the collection, the lower the risk. The new guide recommends keeping the families you reunite stable over time.

Participants in a meeting must stand at least six feet away from non-domestic members and wear face covers in accordance with state guidelines. Meetings should last two hours or less.

Anyone with COVID-1

9-like symptoms should stay home. If you attend a meeting and develop symptoms of COVID-19 within 48 hours of the meeting, you should notify everyone who was present.

Those in a high-risk group, such as the elderly and people with chronic medical conditions, are strongly advised not to attend meetings.
