“Tenet” will now play in the Los Angeles area Drive-Ins

The studio turned the tide earlier this week, just as indoor cinemas in nearby Orange County gained approval to reopen. The O.C. it becomes only the second Californian market to receive the okay after San Diego. It is not yet clear when L.A. cinemas they can turn on the lights, but it could take weeks.

By Friday, Principle will play at five drive-ins across the greater Los Angeles area, as well as outdoor venues in Orange County, San Diego and the Bay Area.

Drive-in locations have enjoyed a resurgence since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, forcing indoor cinemas across the country and around the world to go dark for months. All said, Principle is playing in over 90 of these venues.

In the United States, many indoor theater chains have scheduled their reopening at Principle, which is the first Hollywood tentpole to boldly debut on the big screen in the coronavirus era.
