"Apex Legends" ranks 25 million players in its first week
For a game launched only a week ago, Apex Legends is doing well. Respawn has revealed that its genre free-to-play battle-royale now has over 25 million players and has "well over" 2 million simultaneous players over the weekend. The most popular game of the year? Nah, calm down: Fortnite has more than 200 million players and 8.3 million simultaneous players, but it's a huge figure for a title that boasted 10 million players just a few days before.
Google Maps adds suggestions for navigation to the real world
The "global location" system identifies your exact location when GPS is not sufficient, combining VPS (Visual Positioning Service), Google Street View and machine learning. Once you know where you are, the technology can overlay a feed with directions from the phone's camera. For now, it is only available for a select group of beta testers.

ThunderMag claims to be the first true Thunderbolt compatible magnetic adapter in the world. In other words, these small jacks should go through data up to 40 Gbps (or video up to 5K) while also providing 100W of power, thanks to their 24 pins and the delicate magnetic modeling, this is the last to protect the cable frequency signal. The usual Kickstarter warnings apply, but those interested can enter as supporters from $ 40 to $ 50.
Samsung really wants you to know that your folding phone is coming
Next week Samsung is launching its usual Unpacked event for the debut of some new mobile devices, and, in case you had not heard, a new teaser makes it clear that we will see something folding. the court declares the start of space colonization "Mars One" in bankruptcy
Mars One Ventures, the for-profit arm of the Mars One mission was declared bankrupt in January, but was not reported until when an acute Redditor did not find the list. Speaking with Engadget, Bas Lansdorp said that the foundation is still operational, but will not be able to act without further investment. Lansdorp refused to provide any further comments as well as saying that he was working with other parties "to find a solution."
Microsoft post HoloLens 2 teasers in view of the launch of 24 February
The creator of the device, Alex Kipman, has published a teaser for the mixed-reality headset that confirms his preview just before the Mobile World Congress February 24th. The clip itself is cryptic, with vague allusions to the processors and possibly carbon fiber (which could help reduce weight).
