Coronavirus deaths in Stanislaus County jumped to 41 and the number of people who tested positive reached 2,000, according to health officials.
New numbers were released late Saturday afternoon and the number of deaths related to the disease increased from 38 the previous day, according to the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency website.
The county also added another 60 positive out of 445 tests, bringing the day’s infection rate to 13.48%. The 14-day progressive total is 11.0%, compared to 10.26 the previous day.
The Modesto Vintage Faire treatment and rehabilitation center reported an additional death on Saturday for a total of four. In addition, in an update released Thursday evening, El Rio Memory Care Center, also in Modesto, reported five total deaths.
Of the positive tests, Modesto has a county high of 674, followed by Turlock at 283.
The overall positive test rate was 7.2%.
