The proposed quarantines remain the biggest obstacle for the playoff bubbles: Athletic



It’s not just Dodgers players who oppose separation from their families before reuniting with them in post-season bubbles. Players across Major League Baseball are voicing objections to the quarantines the league wants, saying the less restrictive health and safety protocols they followed for most of the 60-game regular season should be enough for October as well.

Talks between the league and the players’ association continued on Thursday. There are only 17 days left in the regular season and there is no indication that the postseason is in danger. But the proposed quarantines are the biggest remaining obstacle to the league moving forward with its plan to play all but the first round of the playoffs in neutral bubbles in Texas and Southern California, according to sources from both sides.
