The Real Reason Ariana Grande’s Hit Single ‘Thank U, Next’ Won’t Win a Grammy in 2019

Turn on any pop radio station and you'll be almost guaranteed to hear Ariana Grande's hit single, "Thank U, Next" within a couple of minutes. Fans never get enough of the catchy and optimistic single and his inspirational message. The single is still in the best songs on Billboard's Hot 100 List and the music video has collected more than 3 million views on YouTube in a couple of days.

This is what makes his Grammy a surprise for so many people that I think Grande deserves to be nominated not only in 2019, but that he is a shoo-in to win Song of the Year.

Why will not "Thank U, Next" be named?

The single loved one that nobody can stop talking about has no chance of winning a Grammy in 2019. Everything is due to a technicality – it has to do with the release date in this case. According to the rules, a single must be issued before September 30th to be eligible for an appointment. But Grande did not publish his single until November 5, 2018. This means that "Thanks to U, Avanti" by Ariana Grande can not be named in 2019, but is a potential contender for 2020.

It makes the moment for quite curious release. Surely Ariana Grande realized that the cutoff was missing for a nod to the Grammys of just over a month. But maybe he programmed it that way.

Will Ariana Grande be nominated for any of her works?

Do not worry too much about the singer – "Thank U, Next" is not his only way to win a Grammy in 2019. It is very likely that his fourth studio album, Sweetener and all the Successful songs on it will receive some Grammy love once the nominations are announced.

The singles of his last album may not have the explosive success of his latest work, but they are still quite exceptional and have a good chance of winning. "God is a woman" and "No Tears Left to Cry" are both likely to score nominations.

Ariana Grande has never won a Grammy

Grande is no stranger to Grammy nominations, even if she does not get one for "Thanks to U, Avanti" this time.

has been nominated for four Grammy so far. In 2017, he received a nomination for Best Pop Album for his album Dangerous Woman and Best Pop Vocal Performance for the single "Dangerous Woman." However, he lost the singer Adele in both categories.

Will & # 39; Thank U, Next & # 39; will he be appointed next year?

It is not known if Ariana Grande's big hit "Thank U, Next" will be nominated for a Grammy in 2020. She will compete with all the artists who still have work to release the rest of this year and most of the next year. But if the initial success of the song is indicative, then there is a good chance that it will be nominated in 2020.

And it may not be the only song by Grande to attract attention the next year. The entire album Thank U, Next is already arousing great enthusiasm. Grande said that it is full of "feminine energy and champagne and music, laughter and tears". He described the work as more honest than anything else he has ever done before.
