You can see more game clips in action on The Alec Moody YouTube channel.
Moody has just coined the trailer for the game you see above, the game official press kit has a little more predefined information on what it is:
“Wrench instructs the players to repair and maintain the racing cars. Each component of Wrench is meticulously crafted: the parts down to each nut and bolt are faithfully reproduced in order to provide players with an accurate simulation. Players use a growing selection of lubricants and chemicals to perform common tasks such as oil changes or brake fluid drains. “
You can play on a Windows PC or in virtual reality using the motion controllers, the latter of which is particularly interesting. Unfortunately, I don’t have any hardware like that, so I won’t be able to play this game anytime soon. But if you are passionate, you can check it out Vapor or the Oculus shop for $ 19.99.
It is now available as an “early access version”, which essentially means that developers plan to add a lot more content to the game. You can check the progress of this development on Wrench website. As of this writing, here’s what the game’s “development roadmap” looks like.

And using it would mean I shouldn’t go to my dark and disgusting garage in the apartment complex!
It looks like a fun and educational tool. Based on the reviews that we are it looks like a pretty successful execution. Enter some comments if you’ve played this and have insights to share!
