MADISON, Wis. – The investigators will explain how they identified a Wisconsin teenager who died three months alive and took custody of a suspect.
Authorities claim that 13-year-old Jayme Closs was found Thursday afternoon in the town of Gordon, in Douglas County, Wisconsin. A suspect was stopped a few minutes later. Jayme was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
Jayme had disappeared since October 15, when police discovered that someone broke into his family home in Barron, killed his parents and apparently kidnapped her. The town of Gordon, where it was found, is about an hour's drive north of Barron.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Jayme approached a woman who was walking her dog but the authorities did not release details. The Barron County Sheriff's Department has scheduled a press conference on Friday morning.
